Note: Chapter history as built over 7 months of Deathwatch after rolling great in rites of battle along with bets against the GM.  - Fun Fact, I beat the GM in a dice roll for Gene seed purity. It came out as 98% during chapter creation

"For a millennia, I have fought and I have seen the darkness in our galaxy. I have seen heresy on the brink of death, i have gazed into the warp and I've seen what it holds in the abyss. I have witnessed the sin of possession. I have seen all the evil that the galaxy harbors, and I have slain all whose presence defy’s our wrath. I have seen what you will see. I have fought what you must fight, and I have slain what you must slay... so hold no pride, for we are the knights of Sanguinor, the Angels of Death. And it is we who shall strike fear into the abyss as we light the flames within it’s depths."

The Knights of Sanguinor are one of the Second Founding Chapters of the Space Marines and were originally the 167th company before the Second Founding broke the Legiones Astartes up into separate Chapters of 1000 Space Marines. They are well-known across the galaxy for their Stealthy nature in battle, and didn’t fear for the curse of flawed gene-seed they carry. The Knights of Sanguinor are amongst the longest-living of the Adeptus Astartes, with some of the Chapter's Space Marines having served the Emperor of Mankind for over a thousand standard years. Thanks to recent events, the Knights of Sanguinor have been attempting to spread their gene seed purity to their brothers.

Following the declaration, the Knights of Sanguinor have a large gap of history missing from the records of the Imperium after the fourth founding. Nonetheless, the Knights of Sanguinor refused to be forgotten, and they continue their galactic Crusade, purging the Emperor's foes from the worlds beyond the Imperium of Man. They have been noted on several occasions to have intervened to aid beleaguered Imperial forces and certain enemies such as the eldar when they deem it necessary, though they are unwelcome allies at best do to this, arriving unannounced they to lend their considerable might to a conflict or war. Imperial commanders especially loathe to accept their assistance, due to the Knight's' reputation for Stealth and terror doctrines bring dangers when fighting alongside these Deadly Astartes. Nevertheless, the Knights of Blood are driven to continue to battle the enemies of Mankind across the galaxy.

Recent History (41st Millennium)[]

The Era of Unrelenting Crusade[]

The Carolingian Crusade was carried out by the Knights of sanguinor beginning in 685.M37 to combat the Rebelling population within the Apothicron Sector and surrounding wilderness space in the northern Segmentum Pacificus. The original Force commander, Brother Arminius, was tragically killed in battle on the Sea of tranquility on Lazarus II , and was succeeded by Sgt. librarian Azrael in 988.M37. The Crusade lasted for roughly 325 years before the High Marshal declared it successful in c.000.M38. Azrael went on to later become the Chief librarian of the chapter after his achievements in the Ulgoroth Crusade after being taken out of the Crypts cryostasis.

The Darkest Hour[]

Defence of Baal (999.M41) - In 999.M41, the Knights of Sanguinor assisted the Blood Angels in the defence of Baal against both the daemonic hordes of the Bloodthirster Ka'Bandha and the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Leviathan. They wisely kept their distance from their fellow Successor Chapters during the fighting to bring down deadly precision force.
